How long does it take to make a compensation claim for my injuries from a car accident?

• Stage 4: Medico-legal appointments: Between the 10th and 12th month after the accident, you go and see medico-legal specialists who will produce reports detailing your pain and suffering, impact on work and life, as well as expert predictions of future difficulties.
• Stage 5: Claim Negotiation: Between the 13th and 15th months after the accident, we will have the compulsory settlement conference with the insurer to determine the final compensation amount.
• Stage 6: Receiving payout: most settlement conferences result in successful settlements. However, it may take one to three months before the payout reaches your bank account.

In the unlikely event that no agreement was reached during the settlement conference, your lawyer will advise you on the next relevant stages.
